What is Shirikia?

Shirikia is the main DAO — a decentralized financial platform that puts you in control of your money. Built on blockchain technology, it gives you access to savings, loans, governance, and a family of sub-DAOs for investments, welfare, and community savings. When you join Shirikia, you become part of the main DAO. You can save, borrow, and participate in platform-wide governance to shape how Shirikia evolves. Beyond the main DAO, Shirikia is home to independent sub-DAOs — each with its own purpose and its own governance that members can participate in.

The Shirikia ecosystem

Shirikia DAO

The main DAO. Save, borrow, and participate in platform-wide governance. This is where everyone starts.

Governance

Have a say in how the platform evolves. Create proposals, vote, and help shape the future of Shirikia and its sub-DAOs.

Buffet DAO

The investment sub-DAO. Choose from investment packages or deposit into the on-chain USDC savings pool to earn yield.

Mother Theresa DAO

The welfare sub-DAO. Donate to causes, create fundraising requests, and contribute to a transparent on-chain welfare pool.

Wechezaji DAO

The community savings sub-DAO. Create or join a Sacco with your community. Each Sacco can set up its own governance and voting rules.

How it works

Shirikia combines the best of traditional finance with the transparency of blockchain:
  • Your account — Sign up with your email and password to access savings, loans, investments, and donations.
  • Your wallet — Connect a crypto wallet (like Coinbase Wallet) to participate in on-chain features like the savings pool, donations, and governance voting.
  • Your voice — Participate in governance at the platform level (Shirikia DAO) and within any sub-DAO or Sacco you belong to. Each has its own proposals and voting.
  • Your community — Join or create savings groups (Saccos) to pool resources and support each other.
Shirikia runs on the Base network — a fast, low-cost blockchain. You only need a small amount of ETH for transaction fees when using on-chain features.
